In the role of Staff Archaeologist, we'll count on you to perform site testing and conduct analyses work on a variety of development projects involving archaeological resources, historic structures, tribal resources and excavations. You will provide technical expertise to develop design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of service deliverable documents. You will perform routine scientist assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures, and complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables. You will work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior scientists on larger projects. You will give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed. This position will require travel as needed to North Texas offices and client project sites. Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, Architectural History or closely related field
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
  • Willingness to work under varied weather conditions
  • Familiarity with field study design and documentation
  • Familiarity with regulatory framework for cultural resource management
  • Familiarity with GIS utilities
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree
  • Previous work experience in cultural resource projects
