About The Position

This role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team to analyze health-related and financial information, ensuring data integrity, and performing statistical calculations to verify compliance with Federal regulations, state Medicaid policies, and other applicable laws. The analyst will conduct research on Medicaid and other government program regulations, assist with various analyses related to Medicaid engagements, and prepare documentation supporting professional decisions. Responsibilities also include reviewing federal and state Medicaid policies and regulations concerning healthcare reimbursement and quality incentive programs, demonstrating strong communication, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvement skills. Maintaining the security and confidentiality of protected health information and thorough electronic documentation are essential. Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, health policy, health care administration, health information, criminal justice or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effectively multi-task with planning and efficiency.
  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize assignments.
  • Proficient use of applicable software programs and data querying tools, including Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Access, Word, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA, CPA candidate, or CFE.
  • Internship or equivalent working experience in accounting or related field.
  • Experience with health care auditing strongly preferred.
  • Ability to review statutory/regulatory or other policy language and apply requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team of other analysts and clinical staff in performing analysis of health-related and financial information.
  • Verify integrity of data.
  • Perform statistical calculations to determine compliance with Federal regulations, state Medicaid policies, and other applicable laws.
  • Conduct research to determine compliance with relevant Medicaid or other government program regulations.
  • Assist with performing various analyses relating to Medicaid engagements.
  • Prepare written documents supporting professional decisions.
  • Perform other types of related tasks involving health care provider quality incentive programs.
  • Review applicable federal and state Medicaid policies and regulations relating to health care reimbursement and quality incentive programs.
  • Demonstrate excellence in communication skills, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvement.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information when analyzing material.
  • Maintain thorough electronic documentation.
