About The Position

The Algorithms team is at the very heart of what we do at Dexcom. If you are a Staff Algorithm Engineer, and if building models, developing signal processing approaches, and transforming emerging sensing technologies into impactful healthcare solutions excites you, join us! This role involves leading the development of advanced algorithms for next-generation sensing technologies. You will develop physics-based, mechanistic, and data-driven models to characterize sensor behavior and improve measurement performance. The role also includes designing and implementing signal processing, estimation, calibration, detection, and predictive algorithms. You will apply statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analytics techniques to extract insights from various datasets and drive technical feasibility assessments and algorithm maturation in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Evaluating algorithm performance through simulation, modeling, and experimental analysis is key, as is providing technical leadership on algorithm architecture, design tradeoffs, verification strategies, and implementation approaches. You will partner with hardware and firmware teams to optimize overall system performance and resource utilization, and translate early technology concepts into scalable, robust solutions suitable for future product integration. Presenting technical findings, recommendations, and strategic direction to cross-functional leadership teams is also a core part of this position.
