Staff AI Engineer

Relativity•Illinois, IL
•$205,000 - $307,000

About The Position

Relativity is a legal data intelligence company whose AI-powered cloud platform, RelativityOne, helps customers organize data and find relevant information for high-stakes legal work. This Staff AI Engineer role is within Data Breach Response (DBR) engineering, a product that uses AI to help identify and respond to data breaches at scale and under strict regulatory deadlines. DBR comprises four teams distributed across North America and Poland. The role provides technical leadership for AI engineering across DBR and the broader organization. It involves architecting, building, deploying, monitoring, and operating production AI/ML systems and the data platforms and pipelines that support them. The engineer will help define and execute DBR’s AI strategy, establish engineering practices and standards, and work with Product, Applied Science, DevOps, and engineering leadership to ensure systems meet requirements for reliability, scalability, security, cost, maintainability, and regulatory compliance. The expected salary range is $205,000 to $307,000. Compensation includes base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives; the final offer depends on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal pay equity.
