About The Position

The Staff Accountant role is a key position within the finance organization at Zinpro and reports to the Corporate Accounting Manager. This position is accountable for timely and accurate preparation and review of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. The successful candidate is an experienced accountant that is an energetic, self-starter with a solid work ethic, and a growth mindset.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
3+ years of previous accounting experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

Nice To Haves

CPA or in the process of obtain a CPA
Experience with SAP, Blackline, and Esker systems.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries to general ledger with supporting documentation.
Perform monthly and quarterly reconciliations of general ledger accounts.
Review journal entries and reconciliations to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Prepare monthly variance analysis and draft related commentary.
Serve as subject matter expert for finance system, maintain data, lead testing, and user support.
Complete monthly forecasting/budget process for assigned scope.
Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
Identify and suggest improvements to accounting processes and procedures.
Handle ad hoc duties and projects as required.
