About The Position
Olmsted Medical Center is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time, day shift position with a starting pay range of $27.66 to $41.48 per hour, based on experience. Offers for external candidates are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the range. Olmsted Medical Center values its employees and offers a comprehensive benefits package for those employed at 0.5 FTE or higher.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Strong understanding of healthcare business and accounting concepts
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of healthcare experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepares and enters monthly adjusting and closing entries.
- Assists with compilation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including Hospital Annual Report, annual governmental surveys, and other various reports as needed.
- Assists with the development, coordination, and implementation of Finance procedures.
- Assists with the annual budget process.
- Provides financial support to management.
- Attends education and training seminars and meetings.
- Assists with monthly bank reconciliation.
- Assists with Accounts Payable processing.
- Assists with Fixed Asset System and prepares monthly fixed asset reconciliation.
- Other duties as assigned.
