About The Position

The Staff Accountant is a key member of the accounting team and plays a critical role in supporting the Controller with month-end close and core accounting functions. This position is designed for an experienced accounting professional who can step in with minimal ramp-up time, work independently, and provide reliable support during a fast-paced close cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills
• Detail-oriented and deadline-driven
• Ability to work independently

Nice To Haves

• Sage experience
• NetSuite experience preferred
• Construction industry accounting experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journal entries
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end close activities
• Support audit preparation
• Enter vendor bills in Sage and submit for approval
• Track open purchase orders
• Record and process ACH payments
• Maintain vendor records
• Handle accounts payable inquiries
• Generate and process 1099s
• Provide general accounting support
• Communicate professionally
• Perform other duties as assigned
