About The Position

The Staff Accountant position is within the Accounting Department. This role is responsible for reviewing, closing, analyzing, and reporting financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually with a strong emphasis on accuracy and timeliness for all companies within the organization's scope. The accountant will provide financial information to departments and the parent company as needed and maintain the books in accordance with GAAP. This role also involves overseeing the general ledger software vendor relationship and maintenance for MAS 200 and DataWorks, as well as overseeing internal and external audits. All duties will be completed as assigned by the CFO and Director of Financial Reporting.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years accounting experience
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or comparable work experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills a must for communicating with staff, department heads, vendors and customers
  • Oversee general ledger software vendor relationship & maintenance with MAS 200 & DataWorks
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, practices and procedures
  • Spreadsheet software experience at an Intermediate to Advanced level
  • Database software experience at an Intermediate level
  • Calendars software experience at an Intermediate level
  • Internet experience at an Intermediate level
  • Data Entry skills

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality accounting experience preferred
