About The Position

Assists in all areas of the Finance Department, with a primary focus on grants, credit cards, account reconciliations, and month-end close. Requirements

  • Associates degree in Accounting or two to five years of related experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills, with excellent follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Process payment requests, invoices, and drawdowns to verify that costs are reasonable and allocable
  • Tracking of award spending, manage salary allocations, and prevent unallowable cost transfers
  • Enforce adherence to local, state, federal, or foundation legal regulations
  • Communicate with Finance Management regarding any inquires or non-allocable spending
  • Reconcile and track custodial accounts
  • Report any unused or expiring funds to management
  • Handle all weekly credit card transactions and reconciliation
  • Assist with monthly account reconciliations, month-end close and year-end audit
  • Save transaction reports for Lockbox
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Adhere to the Food Bank's Employee Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain required licenses, certifications, and documentation.
