About The Position

The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the financial operations of Macon Centreplex. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting functions, and supporting event-based financial reporting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and is highly organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven.

Requirements

Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Deadline-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel proficiency required).
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of NetSuite and Coupa preferred.

Responsibilities

Process and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
Process daily cash receipts including box office, concessions, and other misc. deposits.
Timely completion of bank reconciliations.
Perform analysis of accounting records.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
Provide financial reporting support to the Accounting Manager and Director of Finance as needed.
All other duties as assigned.
