About The Position
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for various accounting functions including reconciliations, financial reporting, and maintaining fixed asset records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, settlement, cash, and inventory functions. The position also involves preparing monthly filings, assisting with balance sheet reporting and audits, and potentially working flexible hours with periodic travel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 2 to 4 years of related experience or High School Diploma/General Education Diploma with 5 to 7 plus years of specific experience
Nice To Haves
- Master’s Degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Responsibilities
- Reconcile cash accounts to bank statements on a daily basis
- Prepare miscellaneous month end financial schedules and reports
- Maintain Fixed Assets Records including acquisitions, dispositions, and asset verification audits
- Understand and ensure accurate completion of A/R, A/P, settlement, cash, and inventory functions
- Prepare monthly brewery filings for rebates and reconcile monthly intercompany accounting cross charges
- Assist with quarterly balance sheet reporting and year-end audit process
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule which may require weekend and/or evening work and periodic travel
- Other projects or duties as assigned
