This position reports directly to our VP of Accounting and Finance, CPA, CFA, and the schedule is Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:30pm. It requires two on-site workdays each week at our north Austin headquarters office, plus occasional, additional on-site training, and events. Experience includes: Bachelor of Business Administration degree required; Accounting and/or Finance degree preferred. At least two years of accounting experience preferred. Proficiency in Excel and analytical skills required. Knowledge of credit union finance, data processing, and other back-office operations and leading-edge delivery systems. Experience with Fiserv systems and SAP Concur is a plus. Knowledge of credit union rules and regulations, fundamentals of the financial industry, auditing, and accounting principles and concepts. Passion for providing outstanding service and a positive attitude. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail. Effective time management including the ability to prioritize responsibilities and organize work tasks. Adaptable to a productive team environment where knowledge is shared, and feedback and coaching are welcomed. What you will do: As the Staff Accountant, you will prepare, maintain, and complete financial, month-end, quarterly, and cash management reports. You will also assist in maintaining financial statements, processing manual journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and serving as a backup for the accounts payable process. Additionally, in this role, you will work with the Vice President of Accounting & Finance with budget projects, research, and clearing of all outstanding items. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration degree required; Accounting and/or Finance degree preferred
