5.11 is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their growing Finance team. This role will play a key part in supporting inventory accounting, pricing operations, financial reporting, and business analysis across the organization. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting or finance experience; public accounting experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and US GAAP
- Experience working within ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience preferred
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
Nice To Haves
- CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred
Responsibilities
- Support monthly and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis related to inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Partner with cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve pricing, costing, and inventory discrepancies
- Maintain and support pricing structures, trade agreements, discounts, and costing data within Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Help drive accuracy and integrity of inventory, pricing, and financial master data across wholesale, retail, and e-commerce channels
- Assist with inventory reconciliations, physical inventories, cycle counts, and variance investigations across multiple locations and partners
- Analyze inventory activity including transfers, adjustments, reserves, and disposals
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance initiatives through reporting and variance analysis
- Participate in budget vs. actual discussions with department leaders and provide meaningful financial insights
- Support internal and external audit requests, SOX compliance activities, and month-end reporting requirements
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to improve financial visibility, operational efficiency, and business performance
