About The Position

Ignite Team Partners is hiring a Staff Accountant with 1-2 years of experience in the Healthcare industry. This role is a key player in the monthly financial close and analysis process, working with the Accounting Team to ensure timely completion of financial close, reports, analysis, and reconciliations. The Staff Accountant will also assist with process enhancements, internal control monitoring, and other required duties or projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar area of study.
1-2 years of accounting experience preferable in healthcare, skilled nursing and rehabilitation an advantage.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications with advanced functional knowledge of MS Excel is required.
Excellent communication skills; positive attitude and customer focused team player capable of working in a deadline dictated environment.
High accuracy with strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Sage Intacct a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare bank reconciliations weekly.
Ensure data is uploaded to the general ledger as appropriate on a daily basis.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations of the balance sheet accounts as required.
Assist with year-end including gathering information for the completion of the annual financial statement reviews, Medicare and Medicaid cost reports and tax returns in a multi-state environment.
Monitor 401K withholding and ER match is in compliance with deposit rules.
Assure fixed assets are recorded in accordance with capitalization policy and depreciation is recorded monthly.
Represent the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties.
Assist with special projects.
