About The Position

Perform core accounting functions - including reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting support - in accordance with established accounting policies, internal controls, and monthly close deadlines. Work is primarily transactional and support-level, performed under the review and guidance of senior accounting staff, with increasing autonomy as proficiency develops.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
1 to 4 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Proficient in MS Excel and ERP software
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Sense of urgency and ability to deliver expected results
Ability to research, compile, analyze, and interpret data
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
Reconcile cash sheet weekly and balance sheet accounts monthly
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and audits as needed
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
Help maintain accurate fixed asset and depreciation records
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
Assist with sales tax filings and other regulatory reporting
Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records
Support external auditors during annual audits by providing requested documentation
Perform other accounting duties and special projects as assigned
Assist with Cost Accounting as proficiency develops
