About The Position

The Staff Accountant will support month-end close, inventory accounting, financial reporting, and distribution center accounting activities for a high-volume retail environment. This role is responsible for preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, analyzing inventory and financial variances, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational support.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1-3+ years of accounting experience.
Knowledge of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Retail, inventory, distribution, or supply chain accounting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close deliverables.
Analyze inventory transactions, adjustments, shrink, and variance reporting.
Support inventory accounting and distribution center financial operations.
Research and resolve accounting discrepancies, operational exceptions, and vendor-related issues.
Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and management reporting packages.
Partner with Accounting, AP, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams on issue resolution and process improvements.
Assist with inventory audits, account analysis, and reporting initiatives.
