EPM's Staff Accountants are essential to the company's overall success, performing a variety of professional level accounting duties such as preparing, maintaining, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling financial transactions, statements, records, and reports. This position will also aid in maintaining the accuracy of ledgers and financial systems as well as assisting in the preparation of budgets, settling intercompany transactions, billing clients, annual audit, and year end closing.

Requirements

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to liaise effectively with team members, leadership, and residents.
  • Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines efficiently.
  • A passion for chasing excellence and providing exemplary customer service.
  • Expertise in financial management and reporting
  • Manages own time well to ensure all deadlines are hit
  • Previous experience or ability to learn quickly financial/property management software and reporting
  • Understanding of GAAP fundamentals
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (or degree in business with relatable experience)

Nice To Haves

  • CPA certification not required

Responsibilities

  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
  • Develop an intimate knowledge of the EPM Portfolio
  • Willing to collaborate on specialized internal processes
  • Reconciles monthly bank statements and has responsibility for cash management
  • Maintains investor confidence and protects operations by maintaining confidentiality
  • Assists with year end reporting including, but not limited to annual filings, audits, and tax returns
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls and promoting an ethical environment
  • Performs all other duties, as assigned.
