About The Position

PPL is seeking talented accounting professionals for current and future opportunities within our accounting organization. Positions may be filled at the Accountant, Staff Accountant, or Senior Accountant level depending on qualifications and experience. Successful candidates will support a variety of accounting functions including financial reporting, journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, internal controls, accounting analysis, and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities and scope of work will vary based on experience and assigned level.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business with at least three accounting courses OR Bachelor's degree in Accounting with at least one year of accounting-related experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
2-4 years of accounting-related experience.
Experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, or Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
CPA, CMA, or MBA.

Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze accounting transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
Maintain accurate general ledger records and supporting documentation.
Prepare financial statements and internal/external financial reports.
Support, monitor, and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
Perform accounting analyses and assist with resolving accounting-related issues.
Develop and maintain supporting workpapers and documentation.
Research accounting guidance and recommend solutions to business challenges.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
Collaborate with business partners, leadership, and internal customers.
Apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills to support business objectives.
Build and maintain knowledge of accounting principles, company processes, and regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance, training, or support to less experienced team members, as appropriate based on level.
