Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Accounting with 2 to 7+ years of exempt level experience in a manufacturing environment or any combination of experience, education and training which would provide the level of knowledge, skill, and ability required.
  • Knowledge of Accounting and auditing principles and practices
  • Knowledge of Principles of governmental financial administration including budgeting, reporting, taxation and revenue.
  • Ability to operate computers and various software programs.
  • Strong Excel skills a must.
  • Ability to examine and verify financial documents and reports
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to prepare a variety of financial statements, reports and analyses.

Nice To Haves

  • Fixed Asset Software exposure desirable.
  • Ability to supervise, train and evaluate clerical and technical employees.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in monthly closing and production of financial statements to guarantee timely reporting and ensure the information reported properly reflects the division’s financial position.
  • Prepares, verifies and controls the entering of journal entries to the General Ledger
  • Coordinates the completion and review of the monthly balance sheet and profit and loss statement account analyses and reconciliations, including intercompany activity.
  • Assists in the coordination and preparation of financial audits as required by outside auditors.
  • Maintains division fixed asset system
  • Assists in the preparation of the annual budget and coordinating the completion of various required reports.
  • Assists in the review of financial policies and procedures, as necessary.
  • Assists with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures in accordance with Sarbanes Oxley.
  • Assists in the preparation of various tax reporting requirements
