About The Position

Performance Staff accountants are expected to complete tasks assigned to them based on their experience. They should identify problem areas in engagements, develop efficient work habits, and practice effective communication. Staff accountants need to recognize how their tasks affect the final work product, follow AICPA regulations and professional ethics, and stay current on professional pronouncements. Maintaining confidentiality of the Firm, behaving professionally, and complying with Firm policies are also expected. They should identify and address problems early, handle multiple tasks accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision, and accept increasing responsibility for engagements and business correspondence. Staff accountants will also make basic decisions regarding routine work without supervision and begin developing client relations through routine engagements, aiming to bill additional services and attract new business.
