About The Position

The 1 Hotel Nashville Finance and Accounting team is looking for a Staff Accountant to support their team in overseeing AR, EOM Entries, and P&L Closings. This role involves auditing daily reports, compiling cash and credit card reports, assisting with invoice processing, analyzing information to solve problems, monitoring taxes, and maintaining accounting controls to safeguard assets.

Requirements

• Passionate about numbers
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar function
• Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
• A team player, hard worker, multi-tasker and detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

• A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus

Responsibilities

• Audit Exec Checks, Petty Cash, and Adjustment reports daily, distribute to Guidance Team.
• Compile and distribute hotel “Cash Over/Short” report, & balances credit card ledgers.
• Prepare daily consolidate deposits of cash received in outlets and by Front Desk.
• Assist with invoice processing and matching PO’s to invoices for processing
• Analyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Achieves and exceeds goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
• Monitors all taxes that apply, ensuring that taxes are current, collected and/or accrued.
• Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
