About The Position

McElroy Metal has an opening for a Staff Accountant at our Headquarters in Bossier City, LA. This full time, exempt-level position prepares manufacturing labor hour reports/compilations, assists in financial/bank audits; in addition to, entering standard and non-standard journal entries, General Ledger account reconciliations, Chart of Account & Financial Statement knowledge and maintenance. The position reports to the Corporate Controller. The Bossier City location was established in 1963, and is the location for our corporate departments, as well as our first manufacturing facility and a McElroy Service Center onsite.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, but applicable accounting/finance experience will be considered
• Individual must be dependable, detail oriented, well organized, and able to meet strict deadlines
• Knowledge/Experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP software
• Intermediate to advanced skill level in Excel preferred

Nice To Haves

• ASC 842 knowledge and/or understanding a plus, but not required
