About The Position

We are hiring for a Staff Accountant to join our Finance team at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This individual will report to the Accounting Manager and assist in the day-to-day and month-end accounting for Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Additionally, s/he will assist in the completion of the Company’s annual audits and on various special projects. S/he will provide strategic support to the finance team and management including process documentation, controls implementation, treasury management and other requested projects.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
Use of good judgment, professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative style
Demonstrate high integrity, tact, and a positive attitude
Strong communication, time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in decision making, analysis and entrepreneurial strategic thinking
Demonstrate ability to be value-added business partner with peers and senior executives
Strong Excel skills and Windows-based finance system knowledge
Proven ability to concurrently perform multiple assignments and manage projects on strict deadlines under pressure
Must be able to maintain confidential information
Maintain flexibility in work schedule to support events as needed

Nice To Haves

Interest and/or experience with stadium/entertainment accounting and reporting a plus
Public Accounting or Corporate Accounting experience a plus
Great Plains, Concur, and Vena experience a plus

Responsibilities

Assist in the estimate, settlement, accounting, and reporting for stadium events
Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining relevant records and files
Assist in the preparation of account reconciliations
Month end and year end close responsibilities
Assist finances team with annual financial audits
Effectively communicate issues and errors to management
Complete ad hoc analysis and other projects as assigned
