About The Position
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including preparing journal entries, managing accounts receivable and collections, reconciling point-of-sale data, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and inventory accounting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 1+ years of general accounting experience is highly preferred.
- General Business knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, diligence, and time-management skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare general ledger/journal entries.
- Manage Accounts Receivable/ Collections; oversee house charge accounts.
- Reconcile POS to daily account posting.
- Prepare supporting Schedules.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and research variances.
- Assist with quarterly/year end closes and preparation of financial statements.
- Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual budgets.
- Prepare inventory accounting, reconciliation, and adjustments.
