About The Position
Olmsted Medical Center is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a full-time, day shift position with a starting pay range of $27.66 to $41.48 per hour, based on experience. Offers for external candidates are typically made between the minimum and midpoint of the range. The role involves preparing financial reports, assisting with budget processes, and providing financial support to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Demonstrated analytical skills
- Strong understanding of healthcare business and accounting concepts
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of healthcare experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepares and enters monthly adjusting and closing entries.
- Assists with compilation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports including Hospital Annual Report, annual governmental surveys, and other various reports as needed.
- Assists with the development, coordination, and implementation of Finance procedures.
- Assists with the annual budget process.
- Provides financial support to management.
- Attends education and training seminars and meetings.
- Assists with monthly bank reconciliation.
- Assists with Accounts Payable processing.
- Assists with Fixed Asset System and prepares monthly fixed asset reconciliation.
- Other duties as assigned.
