The Role: We are seeking a strong, dynamic, and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our Boca Raton, Florida team. Reporting into the Accounting Supervisor, this role will assist in the day-to-day accounting, end of month reconciliations, and preparation of quarterly SEC reports, as well as other general accounting related activities.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Minimum of one (1) year of related experience.
An understanding of GAAP and SEC Rules.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong MS Excel skills.
Experience using NetSuite or other enterprise-level ERP.

Nice To Haves

Prefer CPA or CPA candidate.
Prefer experience working in a publicly traded company accounting environment.
Prefer SOX 404 experience.
Prefer Public accounting experience.

Responsibilities

Perform balance sheet accounts analysis and reconciliations, including but not limited to bank statements, fixed and intangible assets, payroll, accruals and prepaid expenses.
Analyze and prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly journal entries.
Provide support and documentation for quarterly reviews and annual audits in coordination with 10-Q and 10-K filings.
Processing, coding, and recording of accounts payables.
Update and maintain vendor database, communicate with vendors as needed, maintain vendor packages, including completed W9’s & 1099s.
Resolve AR and AP-related inquiries, discrepancies, and irregularities.
Review and reconcile state sales tax where applicable.
Review bank activity and complete daily cash reconciliation.
Reconcile corporate credit card and employee expense reimbursements and statements.
Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed.
Process customer payments, refunds, and credits.
Other duties as assigned.
