About The Position

The Staff Accountant reports to the Accounting Associate Manager and supports other department staff. This role contributes as an integral part of a team that produces financial reporting and budgets for the Firm. The position is responsible for producing reports quickly while maintaining integrity and accuracy of data, developing and maintaining Excel spreadsheets to prepare analyses and reports using advanced Excel functions, and reviewing and analyzing general ledger transactions and accounts. The Staff Accountant uses technical judgment to ensure that financial transactions are properly recorded, participates in the firm-wide annual forecasting/budgeting processes, and performs monthly account reviews and variance analyses. This role also acts as a financial liaison to multiple departments by understanding and servicing their business needs. The Staff Accountant is responsible for the analysis, management, and implementation of financial initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing information and recommendations to management. Other duties as assigned.
