About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing daily cost and general ledger accounting activities, supporting the month-end closing process, and assisting in maintaining accurate financial records. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
3-5 years of experience in accounting or related financial roles.
Manufacturing industry experience is required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in fixed asset accounting preferred
Understanding of US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
Proficiency in ERP software JD Edwards is preferred
Hands-on experience in Advanced Microsoft Excel is required
Experience coordinating with external auditors is preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Minimum of 2 years of experience in fixed asset accounting

Responsibilities

Prepare and post monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
Assist in performing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Maintain and update fixed asset and CIP schedules and depreciation calculations.
Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
Support accounting activities for global domestic and international entities.
Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Assist in spending and variance analysis.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
Preparation of audit schedules and support external auditors during the audit process.
Any other tasks and ad hoc requests as assigned by manager.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies.
