The Staff Accountant is responsible for coordinating the preparation of data in accordance with applicable regulatory reporting requirements and for performing a wide range of accounting functions in compliance with established policies and procedures. This position supports the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for senior management and responds to inquiries from auditors and regulatory examiners. Additional responsibilities include posting entries to the general ledger, performing accounting calculations, reconciling accounts, maintaining internal records and carrying out other related duties as assigned. This is an in-person position, no remote work available.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience with a concentration in Finance or Accounting
  • Aptitude for professional level business related communication with examiners and auditors, and all levels of management
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Familiarity with procedural framework
  • Ability to monitor projects to ensure their completion on schedule
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Good analytical abilities
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the preparation of data in accordance with applicable regulatory reporting requirements
