About The Position

The Revenue Team in the Corporate Accounting Group is responsible for revenue recognition and reporting across all business markets, maintenance of all revenue and billing systems, client billing and accounts receivable management, and internal control compliance for all revenue processes. The Revenue Accountant will primarily be focused on the monthly accounting close process which includes contract review, systems maintenance, journal entries, billing, account reconciliation, and revenue analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience (accounting or finance / business)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to think and work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and follow-through with goals and objectives
  • Ability to develop and manage successful internal and external relationship

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the billing system as a result of new clients, contract changes, or business changes.
  • Calculate, post, and reconcile journal entries to the Accounting System.
  • Review contracts for new clients and understand product offerings.
  • Maintain SOX 404 process controls related to specific revenue streams.
  • Create and distribute invoices to SEI Clients.
  • Monitor Balance Sheet accounts related to specific revenue streams.
  • Provide support to Business Management for specific revenue streams.
