About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing on general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and working closely with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes. This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred but not required.
CPA certification preferred but not required.
2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a SaaS and technology environment.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Execute on general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Perform monthly and annual financial close procedures.
Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
Work closely with internal teams to ensure proper financial reporting.
Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
Assist in financial audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems.
Ensure compliance with internal controls.
