About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing on general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and working closely with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes. This role requires a strong understanding of US GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred but not required.
  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a SaaS and technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Execute on general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Perform monthly and annual financial close procedures.
  • Review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure proper financial reporting.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in financial audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls.
