The Just One Project's mission is to increase access to food, resources, and supportive services to build a stronger, healthier, and more connected community. The Just One Project has a culture of attracting the most passionate and talented people to represent The Just One Project by reinforcing strong values, work-life balance, and diversity. We know that our company culture ultimately affects client experience. Every program is designed with our clients in mind; we are "client-centric." Everything we do is guided by our core values: Respect, Integrity, Innovation, and Compassion, and by our Gold Standard of service. We believe every person who walks through our doors deserves to be treated with the same care, dignity, and respect as you'd want for your own family. That commitment extends behind the scenes, too. Strong financial stewardship allows our teams to serve the community, responsibly manage the resources entrusted to us, and continue growing our impact. We're looking for someone who brings accuracy and accountability to their work while understanding the bigger purpose behind the numbers. As the Staff Accountant, you'll play an important role in keeping the financial operations of The Just One Project accurate, organized, and moving forward. Working closely with our Director of Finance, you'll support day-to-day accounting activities, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, grant reimbursement documentation, financial reporting, and compliance. You'll help make sure our records are accurate, our documentation is complete, and the resources that fund our programs are responsibly managed. This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who loves a good spreadsheet, appreciates when everything reconciles exactly as it should, and wants their work to have an impact beyond the numbers. The ideal person for this role is detail-oriented, dependable, comfortable managing competing deadlines, and able to bring both precision and problem-solving to a busy nonprofit environment. This is a full-time position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during audits, special projects, or organization-wide events.
