About The Position

As a subsidiary of a Fortune 100 company and a growing division within the Equipment & Supply area, we are adding a new position to assist with and oversee our increased financial reporting duties and general daily responsibilities. Regardless of whether you are new in your finance career or a solid pro, we are interested in talking to you! This role will handle the division’s basic financial activities to maintain accurate financial records and provide essential financial reporting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience is required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred
  • One year of related work experience is preferred
  • Proficiency with accounting software is preferred (DDI experience helpful)
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools is preferred
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Enterprise Resource Planning) is a plus.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing issues
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and practices

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
  • Manage accounts receivable (invoicing and collections from customers), ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and post journal entries to record financial transactions, adjustments, and accruals.
  • Assist with reviewing and processing employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and proper documentation.
  • Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial data and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
