About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our growing finance team at Receptive. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will support core accounting operations, including accounts payable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic startup environment and is comfortable owning a broad range of accounting responsibilities. You will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organization while helping ensure our financial processes remain accurate, compliant, and scalable as the company grows. Requirements

  • 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup, high-growth environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Experience working with Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables and lookup functions
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Familiarity with intercompany accounting across multiple entities is a plus
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, payroll accounting, or financial reporting is a plus
  • Candidates located in U.S. time zones west of the Mississippi preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare supporting documentation, reconciliations, record journal entries for month-end and year-end close.
  • Prepare and reconcile intercompany journal entries across multiple entities while supporting the development of scalable intercompany processes.
  • Support accounts payable operations, including vendor management, invoice processing, and 1099 reporting.
  • Assist with revenue recognition and reconciliations.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and contribute to financial statements and GAAP-compliant reporting.
  • Provide flux analysis on budget to actuals and financial statements.
  • Support payroll accounting, year-end tax documentation, and audit preparation.
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accounting systems such as QuickBooks or NetSuite and collaborate cross-functionally to improve accounting processes.
