Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
  • Currently pursuing or nearing completion of a CPA designation
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas such as XLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, and data analysis functions
  • Experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)
  • Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. sales tax regulations
  • Experience supporting multiple legal entities or international operations
  • Previous experience within the technology sector
  • Exposure to process improvement or internal controls initiatives

Responsibilities

  • Support the full order-to-cash process, including sales order processing and customer invoicing
  • Support the procure-to-pay process, including purchase order issuance and vendor invoice processing
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Perform revenue and expense analysis and support financial reporting activities
  • Maintain fixed asset schedules, capitalization activities, and depreciation entries
  • Prepare year-end working papers for multiple international entities, including Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Ireland
  • Support Canadian and U.S. sales tax compliance activities and related research
  • Assist with weekly payment processing, including EFTs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
  • Work closely with internal departments and external customers and vendors
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Support various ad hoc finance and accounting initiatives as required
