About The Position

As a Staff Accountant, you will support the Finance & Accounting team by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong vendor and intercompany relationships, and contributing to timely month-end and year-end close processes. This role plays a key part in strengthening financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
2–5 years of accounting experience across accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger functions
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or equivalent)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
Experience working with accounting or ERP systems
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy

Nice To Haves

Experience in real estate, residential construction, or development environments
Familiarity with consolidation accounting
Experience with systems such as NewStar or similar ERP platforms

Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices, manage payments, and resolve billing inquiries to ensure timely and accurate transactions
Maintain vendor records, including onboarding, compliance documentation, and certificates of insurance
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals and adjustments, and reconcile general ledger accounts
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
Assist with financial reporting, data analysis, and ad hoc requests
Support audit activities by preparing schedules and providing required documentation
Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policies
