About The Position

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for reviewing, closing, analyzing, and reporting financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually for all companies within the scope. This role requires accuracy and timeliness. The Staff Accountant will also provide financial information to departments and the parent company as needed, and maintain books in line with GAAP. Additionally, this position will oversee the general ledger software vendor relationship and maintenance with MAS 200 and DataWorks, and will oversee internal and external audits. All duties as assigned by the CFO & Director of Financial Reporting are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years accounting experience
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or comparable work experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills a must for communicating with staff, department heads, vendors and customers
  • Strong knowledge of accounting concepts, practices and procedures
  • Word Processing (Intermediate to Advanced)
  • Spreadsheet (Intermediate to Advanced)
  • Database (Intermediate)
  • Calendars (Intermediate)
  • Internet (Intermediate)
  • Typing
  • Data Entry
  • Standing (Continuous up to 8 hrs. per 8 hr. shift)

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality accounting experience preferred

Responsibilities
