About The Position
Managing affordable residential housing, market-rate housing, offering compliance services for HUD, RD and Section 42 programs and providing prompt and courteous maintenance services to our residents is what Wisconsin Management Company is good at. Join us in assisting our prospects and residents to find the perfect place to call home. We have a new opening for a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting team. Do you have three or more years producing financial statements? Are you familiar with real estate or property accounting? Do you have high attention to detail and enjoy variety in your work? Then we need you!
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Advanced skills in spreadsheet and accounting software
- Effective communication stills
- Ability to analyze financial data
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Three or more years producing financial statements
- Familiarity with real estate or property accounting
- High attention to detail
- Enjoy variety in work
Nice To Haves
- CPA, CFA, or CMA designation preferred
Responsibilities
- Prepare regular property financial statements
- Fulfill financial reporting requirements
- Monitor cost against budget and recommend adjustments
- Support the property management team by offering your expertise
- Maintain fixed asset schedules
- Review invoices for proper coding
- Manage banking and cash flow responsibilities
- Perform journal entries and month-end reconciliations
- Assist with special projects as requested
- Ensure compliance with GAAP
- Maintain internal controls
