The Evansville plant manufactures plastic dispensing and specialty closure systems used across the food, beverage, and consumer goods industries. As part of Silgan’s Dispensing & Specialty Closures segment, the facility produces high-quality plastic and composite closures designed for reliable sealing, controlled dispensing, and product protection. These closures support a wide range of applications, helping major brands ensure safety, convenience, and performance in their packaging solutions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in manufacturing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications
  • Experience with forecasting, budgeting, and account analysis
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication abilities

Responsibilities

  • Daily invoicing of closure shipments and creation of manual invoices for scrap and miscellaneous shipments
  • Review production work orders; research and correct inventory discrepancies and reporting issues
  • Close production orders and process production reports in ERP
  • Assist with monthly inventory, including reconciliation of WIP and raw materials
  • Maintain month-end close, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and financial reporting
  • Ensure accurate accounts payable coding and PO processing
  • Verify documentation, obtain required approvals, and enter invoices for payment
  • Analyze account variances to identify trends and improve reporting accuracy
  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting processes to provide timely financial projections
