About The Position

Our client, a well-established, full-service CPA firm in Troy, Michigan, is looking to hire 1–2 Staff Accountants to join their team. Requirements

2+ years of experience in a CPA firm environment
Exposure to both tax and audit work
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
Experience with compilations, reviews, or audits
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines

Nice To Haves

CPA or actively CPA-track
3–7 years of public accounting experience
QuickBooks experience
Experience with multi-state filings

Responsibilities

Preparing individual, corporate, partnership, estate, and trust tax returns
Assisting with tax planning and projections for individuals and businesses
Participating in audits, reviews, and compilation engagements
Researching federal, state, and local tax matters
Supporting multi-state tax filings
Assisting with IRS, state, and local tax notices
Performing bookkeeping and QuickBooks consulting for clients
Collaborating closely with senior accountants and partners to deliver accurate, timely work
