  • Hands-on knowledge of GL management, financial statements, full-cycle close, payroll, and AP/AR.
  • Experience with job costing or project-based accounting environments (telecommunications, construction, or technical services preferred).
  • Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving account discrepancies.
  • A self-starter attitude with the ability to collaborate across departments and explain financial data clearly to non-finance team members.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Produce hyper-accurate, timely financial statements and maintain overall general ledger integrity.
  • Oversee AP and AR functions to ensure accurate job-costing, timely billing, collection management, and disciplined vendor payments. Deliver clear visibility into our cash position and cash flow trends.
  • Continually evaluate and refine accounting workflows to eliminate manual bottlenecks, reduce errors, and scale internal controls as our project volume grows.
  • Partner with the People & Talent Manager on seamless payroll execution, benefits administration, and employee-related financial reporting. Work alongside the Risk & Process Manager on compliance and internal audits.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external CPA firms, auditors, and tax advisors, ensuring all documentation is organized and audit-ready.
  • Identify financial trends, risks, and project-costing opportunities, communicating plain-language insights to leadership for confident decision-making.

Benefits

  • Standard 8-hour shift (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday).
  • 20 PTO days per year + 8 paid company holidays.
  • Comprehensive Health, Dental, and Vision coverage.
  • Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability (LTD), and Voluntary, Short-Term Disability (STD).
  • 401(k) retirement plan featuring a 3% direct company contribution.
