About The Position

The Staff Accountant plays a key role in supporting the organization’s accounting and financial reporting functions. This hybrid position is responsible for assisting with the monthly close process, preparing account reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced environment focused on operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience in public accounting and/or industry
  • Foundational understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a private equity-backed and/or multi-entity environment
  • Exposure to inventory or cost accounting
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Acumatica or QuickBooks
  • CPA candidate or intention to pursue CPA certification

Responsibilities

  • Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules/documentation
  • Perform accounting activities related to cash, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts
  • Support inventory accounting, reconciliations, and related reporting activities
  • Prepare account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies
  • Ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and supporting analysis
  • Compile documentation and schedules for internal and external audits
  • Maintain adherence to established accounting controls and procedures
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and escalate issues when appropriate
  • Respond to inquiries from operations and cross-functional departments
  • Support ERP system enhancements, integrations, process improvements, and special projects
  • Assist with acquisition-related accounting activities and integration efforts, as needed
  • Other duties as assigned.
