Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of cash and accrual accounting
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Property management accounting experience preferred
  • Entrata experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Managing full-cycle accounting for multiple properties
  • Processing accounts payable and ensuring timely vendor payments
  • Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly financial statements and portfolio reports
  • Supporting month-end close processes
  • Monitoring deposits, applications, adjustments, and account activity
  • Assisting with annual audits and audit schedules
  • Managing security deposit reconciliations and refunds
  • Collaborating with on-site teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Training and supporting property staff on accounting-related processes
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and best practices
