About The Position

As a Staff Accountant, you will report directly to the District Controller overseeing the financial functions of several of our operating locations. This position works in tandem with Accounting Staff and Operational Leadership and requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. It may also require direct interface with local and state regulatory agencies and personnel.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, required
Minimum 1 year of accounting experience, required
Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Excel and related accounting business systems.

Nice To Haves

The ability to relocate to other facilities of ours within the next 18-24 months is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of monthly financial close, to include bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, general ledger journal entries, and Accounts Payable preparation.
Point of contact for day to day accounting questions.
Rate analysis and review
Effective ongoing communication of financial related information to business counterparts.
Managing flow of accounting data to/from remote facilities.
Responsible for the accurate preparation and on-time submission of monthly sales tax filings.
Planning and participating in the annual financial budget process.
Providing training to non-financial personnel on internal control compliance, accounting procedures and financial statement review.
Participate in site visits and attend meetings, which may require occasional travel.
Has the potential for relocation opportunities.
