About The Position

Bon Voyage Travel (BVT), a part of the arrivia family of brands, is expanding its accounting team in Tucson. They are seeking a Staff Accountant II who has mastered the foundational ledger, values precision, and wants to drive impact across their financial operations. This position offers full-cycle exposure, allowing the individual to play a vital part in the strategic monthly close while actively supporting key Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. The ideal candidate thrives under general supervision, loves to take ownership of their day-to-day workflow, and carries a team-first mentality.

Requirements

3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of GAAP.
Excellent attention to detail.
Top-tier organizational and problem-solving skills.
High comfort level with personal computers, MS Office (especially advanced Excel), and ERP/accounting systems.
An independent worker who exercises sound judgment.
Ability to handle multiple deadlines under pressure.
Knows exactly when to proactively escalate issues to leadership.

Responsibilities

Prepare and post monthly journal entries, make account adjustments, and drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
Support critical Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions as needed to maintain seamless operational cash flow.
Perform comprehensive bank, credit card, and general ledger account reconciliations, ensuring full compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Investigate account discrepancies, prepare financial reports for management review, and assist external auditors by providing clear workpapers and documentation.
Actively recommend process enhancements to increase speed, efficiency, and accuracy across accounting systems.
