About The Position

True Rx Health Strategists is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Staff Accountant II to support our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing advanced accounting functions, including reconciliations, accruals, payroll support, and month‑end close activities. You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, supporting audit‑related activities, and serving as a knowledgeable resource within the accounting team. This position works independently while collaborating closely with the broader finance team and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Work in office: 40%; Work from home: 60%

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
  • 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Hands‑on experience with month‑end close activities.
  • Exposure to audits and audit support.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Experience with reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a fast‑paced or growing organization.
  • Familiarity with accounting systems or ERP platforms.
  • Prior experience supporting payroll and rebate-related accounting activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support Accounts Payable processes by reviewing invoice coding for accuracy and preparing related journal entries, including accruals and reclassifications.
  • Reconcile the Accounts Payable subledger to the general ledger and research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support payroll processing by collecting, validating, and reconciling payroll inputs such as timesheets, adjustments, PTO, benefits, taxes, and garnishments.
  • Reconcile payroll registers to general ledger accounts and maintain payroll‑related schedules.
  • Perform routine balance sheet reconciliations, including prepaid expenses, deposits, accounts payable, and payroll liabilities.
  • Assist with fixed asset tracking and prepare depreciation entries as needed.
  • Support month‑end close activities by completing assigned tasks accurately and on schedule.
  • Assist with audit preparation and respond to audit‑related requests and inquiries.
  • Serve as a point of contact for rebate‑related accounting questions and support related reporting and reconciliations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records in compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc requests.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
