About The Position

Home State Bank is hiring a Staff Accountant - Financial Reporting in Crystal Lake, IL. This is a full-time position. The Staff Accountant - Financial Reporting will be responsible for the reconciliation of general ledgers and responsible for financial reporting of Home State’s various entities. Looking for local candidates, as this position doesn't have relocation available.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting or associate's degree with equivalent experience
• Financial institution experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Preparation of the consolidated monthly board report package.
• Prepare the quarterly qualified collateral report (QCR) and detail loan listing for submission to the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago
• Responsible for daily and monthly account reconciliations as well as financial reporting for the Bank’s Retail Mortgage Department.
• Prepare the monthly loan activity reports for the Retail Mortgage Department.
• Assist in the preparation of asset liability management reports for ALCO meetings.
• Perform the monthly updating and posting of mortgage serving rights.
• Assist with the annual budget process
