About The Position

The Music Department at The University of Tampa seeks a full-time Instructional Staff Accompanist. The primary responsibilities of this position are to teach 8 credit hours per year in the music department and accompany vocal ensembles (choirs, Opera Workshop). Additional accompaniment duties will be added to fulfill the needs of the music and musical theatre departments, within the limits of a full-time work load. We seek a faculty member with a passion for collegiate music education who is committed to music-making of the highest quality. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in piano performance or collaborative piano
  • Demonstrated record of accompanying advanced classical and musical theatre repertoire

  • Demonstrated record of teaching experience at the college level
  • Demonstrated success in musical theatre collaboration
  • Evidence of working within various music disciplines

Responsibilities
