About The Position

This role is responsible for monitoring and adjusting the stacker to ensure proper stacking of plates. The operator will also band and wrap bundles of plates, perform quality checks, and inspect sheets for defects. This position is with America's largest metal food packaging producer, a company committed to sustainability through reducing its carbon footprint, selecting like-minded suppliers, and providing recyclable products. Silgan Containers has set sustainability targets through 2030 to source more renewable energy, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and divert waste from landfill.

Requirements

  • Can-do, will-do attitude
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions in English

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with banding and strapping preferred

Responsibilities

  • Monitor for proper stacking and adjust stacker as needed
  • Band and wrap bundles of plates
  • Perform and document all required quality checks
  • Inspect sheets for defects
  • Other duties as assigned by management
