About The Position

Recovery Resource Council is looking for a conscientious, detail-oriented, and compassionate individual who is capable of successfully managing multiple tasks and responsibilities to lead a team of case managers assisting Veterans who are currently homeless or at imminent risk of homelessness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant supervisory experience
  • Reliable transportation
  • Current Texas driver’s license
  • Evidence of auto liability insurance
  • Ability to travel within the metroplex area, as well as other locations, for trainings, conferences, and meeting

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Experience working with people experiencing homelessness and/or veterans is preferred
  • Knowledge of substance use disorders and mental health issues
  • Understanding of and willingness to practice trauma informed care
  • Knowledge of community resources and ability to network

Responsibilities

  • Providing direct supervision to the SSVF Case Managers.
  • Provide direction and support to case managers as they serve the Veteran clients.
  • Train and ensure that case managers follow procedure and guidelines of the SSVF grant.
  • Leading case staffings, case conferencing, and other staff meetings.
  • Direct contact with clients to resolve questions or issues.
  • Approving check requests and confirming that spending is eligible under the grant.
  • Support a cohesive team mentality, encouraging partnership between team members for the benefit of the client.
  • Work with the Assistant Director and Director of Housing Services to review policy and procedures.
  • Use feedback from the SSVF Compliance Specialist to guide continuous quality management and improvement.
